Birthday group card message request and reminder wording
When collecting birthday wishes, tell friends where to write, when you need it and how much to say. A sentence or two is enough; say that in the request.
The birthday and the writing deadline are different dates. Leave yourself time to prepare the reveal, and include a time zone for friends abroad.
Asking friends to contribute
Use the writing invitation link. Say that photos and voice notes are optional, and ask people to add the name the recipient knows them by.
- I'm putting together a birthday group card for [name]! Could you leave a sentence or two at [invitation link] by [date, time and time zone]? Add your name too. Please keep it a surprise for now.
- For [name]'s birthday, we're collecting little memories from friends. One moment you shared and a birthday wish are plenty. Sign in at [invitation link] and add yours by [deadline]. Photos and voice notes are optional.
- We're gathering birthday wishes for [name]! You can join at [invitation link] even if you can't make the party. Please add a short note by [deadline]. Let me know if you have trouble opening the link.
Sending a reminder or wrapping up
Do not call out people who have not contributed in a group chat. Tell those who already wrote that they need not submit again.
- A quick reminder: birthday messages for [name] are due by [date, time and time zone]. If you'd still like to join, here's [invitation link]. Thanks to everyone who already wrote; no need to do it again!
- I'd like to share the birthday messages with [name] tomorrow at [time and time zone]. Add yours by [deadline time] today if you can: [invitation link]. It's fine if this week is too busy.
- That's our birthday message collection for [name] ready. Thanks for taking the time! I'll send the reveal link on their birthday. If you'd like to add something later, message me first.
Make the request easy to accept
Explain what the deadline means
The deadline in your message is an arrangement with your friends. It does not make Chuka automatically close submissions or send an email at that time. The organizer checks participation and handles the reveal.
Participation does not mean sharing private messages
Don't ask friends to screenshot somebody else's wishes as proof of participation. Messages stay private in Chuka's preparation view. Signed-in contributors can return to edit their own message.

Found your words? Give them a place to gather.
Create a party, copy its invitation link and add it to your request. On the birthday, send the recipient the separate reveal link rather than the writing link you sent to friends.
